How to Make a Cheese Soy Wax Candle – Step-by-Step

1. Prepare the mold — Set the cheese mold on a flat surface. No release spray required for platinum silicone. Thread a pre-waxed wick through the mold's wick hole (if applicable) or press a wick sticker to the base and position the wick with a holder across the top opening.
2. Melt and colour the wax — Melt soy wax chips. At 55–60°C, stir in yellow candle dye (and optionally a touch of ivory or brown at the edges for an aged cheese look). Add fragrance oil at 6–10% of wax weight at 50–55°C, stirring gently.
3. Pour at 50–55°C — Pour slowly to fill the mold. Tap the mold gently to release any air pockets.
4. Cool fully — Allow 4–6 hours at room temperature undisturbed. Do not refrigerate (rapid cooling causes sinkholes and surface cracks).
5. Demold — Flex the silicone mold gently from all sides. The cheese candle pops out cleanly. Trim wick to 6–8mm.
