What Is Opaque Paste Pigment?

Unlike mica powder, which gives translucent shimmer, opaque paste pigment delivers fully solid, non-transparent colour in resin — even at low concentrations. How to Use — Step by Step

Mix your resin at 3:1.
Add paste gradually: Opaque pastes are highly concentrated — start with a pea-sized amount per 100gm of resin and mix thoroughly before adding more.
Mix until fully blended with no visible streaks — opaque paste needs slightly more mixing time than powder pigments to disperse evenly.
For marbling: Pour your white base, then drizzle a second colour on top and swirl lightly with a toothpick.
For pastels: Mix white first, then add a small amount of any accent colour to lighten it into a soft pastel tone.
Pour and cure as normal.
