Product Specifications
White Opaque Paste Pigment from THE CRAFT STATION MOLDS is the single most useful pigment in a resin artist's kit — a fully opaque base white for solid-colour pours, marbling, and as the foundation for mixing custom pastel shades. In stock now, free shipping above ₹2599.
What Is Opaque Paste Pigment?
Unlike mica powder, which gives translucent shimmer, opaque paste pigment delivers fully solid, non-transparent colour in resin — even at low concentrations. White opaque is the most-reached-for shade in any resin artist's collection: it's the base for lightening every other colour into a pastel, the go-to for solid-white coaster bases, and essential for the classic marble-swirl effect against a colour accent.
Compatible Materials
Epoxy resin, UV resin, candle wax, soap making, and polymer clay.
How to Use — Step by Step
- Mix your resin at 3:1.
- Add paste gradually: Opaque pastes are highly concentrated — start with a pea-sized amount per 100gm of resin and mix thoroughly before adding more.
- Mix until fully blended with no visible streaks — opaque paste needs slightly more mixing time than powder pigments to disperse evenly.
- For marbling: Pour your white base, then drizzle a second colour on top and swirl lightly with a toothpick.
- For pastels: Mix white first, then add a small amount of any accent colour to lighten it into a soft pastel tone.
- Pour and cure as normal.
Project Ideas
Solid white coaster bases, marble-effect trays and coasters, pastel jewellery (mix with any accent colour), and as a lightening agent to soften bold pigments into wearable shades.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is opaque paste different from mica powder?
A: Mica powder gives translucent shimmer and pearl effects; opaque paste gives fully solid, non-transparent colour — the two aren't interchangeable and serve different looks.
Q: How much paste do I need per batch?
A: Start with a pea-sized amount per 100gm of resin and increase gradually — opaque pastes are far more concentrated than powder pigments.
Q: Can I mix opaque paste colours together?
A: Yes — opaque pastes blend cleanly with each other, making them ideal for custom colour matching.

@tcsmolds/How to Use
Wash with mild soap and warm water before first use. Dry completely.
Optional but recommended — thin coat of mold release spray for easy demolding.
Combine resin and hardener in the correct 3:1 ratio. Stir slowly for 3–4 minutes.
Pour slowly to avoid bubbles. Use a heat gun to pop surface bubbles. Let cure 24–48 hrs.
Gently flex the mold to release. Sand edges if needed. Polish with resin polish for mirror finish.
