What Is the Metallic Copper Marker Pen?

The Metallic Copper Marker Pen from THE CRAFT STATION MOLDS is a high-opacity, quick-dry paint marker formulated for use on cured resin, wood, glass, ceramic, metal, canvas, and dark paper surfaces. The rich warm copper tone adds an industrial-luxe, boho, and handmade aesthetic to resin coasters, trays, jewellery bezels, wood signs, and personalised gift products. Whether you are adding a name, a date, a border detail, or a freehand design to your resin art pieces, this metallic marker delivers smooth, consistent ink flow with sharp definition — making it a must-have tool for every resin artist and craft business seller. Trusted by 5,000+ artists across India, THE CRAFT STATION MOLDS stocks this metallic copper marker pen for same-day dispatch from Jammu, pan India.

Compatible Surfaces for Your Metallic Copper Marker

This versatile metallic paint marker works on a wide range of surfaces used in Indian craft and resin art:

Cured Epoxy Resin: The primary use case. Write names, quotes, dates, or decorative borders on fully cured and sanded resin coasters, trays, serving boards, jewellery, and keepsakes. The metallic copper ink adheres cleanly to a sanded resin surface and dries within 2–5 minutes. Seal with a resin topcoat or varnish after writing for permanence.

Wood & MDF: Ideal for hand-lettered wooden signs, frame borders, name plates, and resin-wood combination pieces. The copper tone complements natural teak and walnut wood grains beautifully — a top combination in Indian handmade home décor.

Glass & Ceramic: Use on glass bottles, terracotta pots, ceramic mugs, and votive candle holders for a metallic hand-painted finish. Heat-set at 160°C for 10–15 minutes for a more durable finish on ceramics.

Dark Paper & Card: Perfect for calligraphy-style lettering on black gift tags, kraft boxes, and dark-toned greeting cards. The high-opacity copper shows up brilliantly on dark surfaces where standard markers fail.

Acrylic & Canvas: Add metallic copper accents, outlines, and highlight touches to acrylic pour canvases, fluid art pieces, and mixed media artwork.

Candles & Wax: Decorate the surface of cooled, set candles with metallic copper lettering or patterns. Allow the ink to dry fully before handling. Do not apply near the wick or flame area.

How to Use the Metallic Copper Marker – Step-by-Step

Seven steps to perfect metallic lettering and decoration on resin and craft surfaces:

Step 1 – Prime the marker: Before first use, shake the marker vigorously with the cap on for 30 seconds. Press the tip on a scrap surface several times until ink flows consistently. This primes the pump mechanism and ensures even ink delivery.

Step 2 – Prepare your resin surface: For the best adhesion on cured epoxy resin, lightly sand the writing area with 400–600 grit sandpaper to create a micro-tooth surface. Wipe clean with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry completely before writing.

Step 3 – Test on a scrap surface first: Always test ink flow and line weight on a scrap piece of cured resin or paper before writing on your finished product. This confirms the ink is primed and flowing at the correct pressure.

Step 4 – Write or draw your design: Hold the marker at a 45° angle and apply light, consistent pressure. Work in one smooth direction — the metallic copper ink shows brush and direction marks if overworked. For lettering, write in a single pass rather than going back over a stroke while wet.

Step 5 – Allow to dry: The metallic copper ink dries to the touch in 2–5 minutes on resin and wood. Allow 15–20 minutes before handling. Do not apply heat — the ink dries through evaporation, not heat-curing.

Step 6 – Add multiple coats for maximum opacity: For deeper copper metallic effect, apply a second coat once the first is fully dry. Two thin coats produce better results than one heavy coat, which can cause bleeding or uneven texture.

Step 7 – Seal for permanence: On cured resin, seal the finished lettering with a thin coat of clear epoxy resin topcoat or UV resin to protect the copper ink from scratching and abrasion in daily use. This makes coasters, trays, and personalised gifts genuinely long-lasting products.

Project Ideas – What Can You Create with the Metallic Copper Marker?

Personalised Resin Coasters: Write guest names in copper metallic lettering on clear or dark resin coasters for wedding table settings. A premium personalised favour that guests take home. Sell at ₹200–400 per coaster.

Resin Tray Lettering: Add quotes, names, or geometric copper border details to epoxy resin serving trays. The copper tone pairs beautifully with gold flake inclusions and dark resin backgrounds for a luxury home décor aesthetic.

Wooden Name Boards: Hand-letter family names, nursery name boards, or door signs on MDF or teakwood in metallic copper. Pair with resin inlay techniques for mixed-media craft products.

Gift Wrapping & Packaging: Write personalised messages on kraft boxes, dark gift tags, and black tissue paper for a premium handmade gifting presentation. The copper tone elevates simple packaging to boutique-level presentation.

Resin Jewellery Bezels: Add fine detail lines, initials, or symbols inside resin jewellery bezels before the final resin pour, or write on the cured jewellery surface and seal for a personalised finish.

Candle Label Art: Add copper hand-lettered scent names and decorative elements to candle labels, glass jars, and wax pillar surfaces for a professional handmade candle brand aesthetic.

Art Journal & Mixed Media: Use the copper metallic marker for mixed media journaling, scrapbooking headers, border detailing on dark-toned art paper, and highlight accents on canvas prints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does this metallic copper marker work on cured epoxy resin?
A: Yes. Lightly sand the resin surface with 400–600 grit sandpaper and wipe clean with IPA before writing. The metallic copper ink adheres cleanly to the sanded surface. Seal with clear resin or varnish for permanence.

Q: How do I get the ink flowing when I first open the marker?
A: Shake vigorously with the cap on for 30 seconds, then press the tip firmly on scrap paper several times until ink flows evenly. This primes the pump and ensures consistent ink delivery.

Q: Can I write on uncured or wet resin?
A: No. Only write on fully cured resin (after 24–48 hours for epoxy). Writing on uncured resin will cause the ink to dissolve into the wet surface and will not produce clean lettering.

Q: Is the copper metallic ink permanent on resin?
A: The ink is water-resistant when dry, but for long-term scratch resistance on resin coasters and trays in daily use, seal with a clear epoxy resin topcoat or UV resin after the lettering is fully dry.

Q: What other colours does TCS Molds carry in metallic markers?
A: We also carry the Metallic Rose Gold Marker Pen — a soft, feminine tone popular for personalised gifts, wedding stationery, and floral resin art. Browse our full tools and markers collection for all available options.

Q: Can I use the copper marker on glass candle jars?
A: Yes. Write directly on clean, dry glass. For a more durable finish on ceramic or glass, bake at 160°C for 10–15 minutes after the ink has dried completely.

Q: Do you offer bulk pricing on metallic markers?
A: Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with your required quantity for wholesale pricing and priority dispatch.
